Under
the sponsorship of the Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse, two of our
most popular events will combine this year to provide a dynamic wrap-up
to the first day of Science2003. Everyone is invited to the Opening Night
Reception, which will feature a special display of new technologies developed
by select researchers from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon
University that are now available for licensing.

In a two-hour session presented by the Office of Academic Career Development, Health Sciences, and the University of Pittsburgh Postdoctoral Association (UPPDA), scientists and scientifically-trained experts in a variety of jobs will offer insight and advice for postdoctoral fellows and graduate students about career opportunities.
